My Journey to Taylor Made Digital Design

Perhaps your story begins a little like mine…?

The year was 2020 - we all know how that goes. Quiet, isolated, yet somehow the perfect set of circumstances for my creativity and ambition to grow.

At the very start of the pandemic, my beautiful first child was born. 

Until that point, I’d had a wonderful career in teaching. But as I held my sweet newborn in my arms, I knew that sending him to daycare wasn’t the right choice for my family. I said a bittersweet goodbye to my classroom and entered motherhood unsure of where the next few years would take me…

The start of something special

While I was so grateful to be at home with my baby, I felt a stirring in my mind that just wouldn’t go away.

I wanted to use the rare glimpses of spare time that I had to explore my passions, try something new, and break out of my usual routine. 

And so, in between contact-naps and tummy time, I unleashed my creativity by engaging with an exceptional course that introduced me to the world of digital branding, social media management, SEO, and website design.

Completing each module sparked a new sense of inspiration in my heart and I realized that I could use these newly-refined skills, along with my Marketing Degree, to help the people and organizations that needed it most…

When dreams take shape

My very first client was my local church, and I loved every second of it!

It felt incredible to provide technical and creative support for a cause I so whole-heartedly believed in. The next step was to showcase my services to a broader audience and connect with clients who wanted to make a positive difference in the world.

With the support of my sweet husband Caleb and my wild child Owen by my side, I launched C/O Virtual Solutions!

I felt that C/O Virtual Solutions was not only a business, not only a use for my skills, but a rare opportunity for overworked entrepreneurs to hand over the baton to someone who they could trust.

I leapt into the role of ‘Virtual Assistant’ with both feet, excited to discover the opportunities that lay ahead.

My dream was to give people like you the freedom to focus on their purpose, their mission, their ‘why’, without the hassle of inventing and maintaining a successful online presence.

Helping people that help people

As my client list grew, my focus began to narrow down. It’s what we freelancers call ‘niching’!

The projects that I loved the most were the ones where I got to help the people that help people.

People like you. 

Coaches and therapists who are ready to cross one more thing off their to-do list, outsource their marketing needs, and build a brand that connects with their dream clients.

And then, along came my gorgeous second son Jackson…

Digging deeper

It’s funny how with each new life that comes into the world, I begin to start a new life of my own.

I returned to work after Maternity Leave (which, let’s face it, is the most challenging work of all!) I noticed that there was a growing need among my connections for functional, beautiful websites that were not only discoverable, but actually converted site visitors into long-term clients.

And so, that process of ‘niching’ began once again!

C/O Virtual Solutions grew into the integrated website and design service that it is today, Taylor Made Digital Design.
